Find A Place to Belong

Find Your Group

We believe that one of the primary ways that you will experience life at Pleasant Valley is through a small group.  We all need to be in smaller settings with people who really know us so that we can go deeper into discipleship and form authentic relationships with others.

Types of

groups

community groups

Community Groups are groups of 8-12 people that meet in homes or at the church building during the week for prayer, discussion, food, and serving.  While some groups are for specific seasons of life, most are mixed-gendered and multigenerational, which we think is a beautiful picture of the unity of the Gospel and a great opportunity for us all to learn from each other’s diverse experiences and perspectives.

D-Groups

Discipleship Groups are very small, gender-specific groups of 3-6 people that meet for one year to walk through a very specific plan to equip you to go deeper in your discipleship journey. In a D-Group, you will learn how to read scripture, pray, and follow Jesus in your day-to-day life as you learn how to be a disciple, so that you can then go and make disciples.

Bible Studies

While all of our groups incorporate the Bible, these seasonal studies focus on a particular book of the Bible or topic of study for anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Check out the list to see what studies are currently coming up.

Marriage Groups

At Pleasant Valley, we believe healthy marriages are a huge part of God’s plan for His people. No matter where you are in your marriage, our marriage groups are designed to help take it to the next level.  We have Premarital Counseling Groups, ongoing wellness Coaching Groups, as well as a Newlywed Group for couples in their first 5 years of marriage.
