Indianapolis Mission Trip
On Friday, a group of people from PVCC went to one of the darkest neighborhoods in Indianapolis to help with our church plant, New Circle Church. They spent time praying for God to move in the hearts of the people of Indianapolis and hosting a neighborhood cookout, where people were blown away by love and kindness shown to them by Christians like they had never experienced before.
Friday, the last of our second quarter of Marriage Coaching groups met to take a day to step back and care for their marriages through honest discussion, grace-based teaching, and gospel-centered community. Pastor Brad’s vision for the marriage ministry at PVCC is to intentionally care for our marriages even in the good times so that people in Owensboro can have the best, most God-honoring marriages possible. About 100 people have been attending these groups quarterly since the beginning of the year, so we have a lot for which to be thankful!
Sunday we began a new sermon series walking through the book of Jonah, examining the radical call of this rebellious prophet and the mission that God has rescued all of us to.
Saturday afternoon, a group of people from one of our Missional Communities went to parks around our city to talk to people, pray for them, and share with them the hope of the Gospel.
