My name is Lauchlinn and my story starts when some of my friends got baptized.  After they got baptized, I thought “I want to get baptized, too” and so I started to ask questions about becoming a Christian.  After a while, I noticed that I was just wanting to become a Christian because my friends were, and I wasn’t actually seeking God.  And so, one day, I sat down with my parents and talked about what it means to be a Christian.  And from that day on, I have been wanting to be more like Him and I want to be a better person, and obey my heavenly father and parents with a more joyful heart.  I think that I can call other Christians my brothers and sisters.

Every night, I pray that I will do better every day as a Christian.  And to also talk to people calmly, and not get angry at people as easily.  Before I thought I was a Christian, I thought that being nice mattered the most, and I would pray and ask God to forgive me of my sins.  But now I know that believing that Jesus is your savior matters most, and now I feel closer to Christ than I ever have before.  And I know that Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior died on the cross for our sins in the place of us.
